Screenings & Festivals

New Mexico has played host to many fine film festivals over the years, in particular, the New Mexico Film Festival, the Santa Fe Film Festival, and the Taos Talking Picture Festival. In addition, cities like Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Taos all offer art-house theater where one can see the latest independent and foreign films. As well, the Lensic Performing Arts Center in Santa Fe frequently shows films in its center, which was built at the turn of the century as a movie-house and still retains all the grandeur of the old-time movie experience - but with a 21st century THX sound system to boot!
